What’s worse than leading with a vertical photo??? a black and white. But I can’t. help. myself. I love it (above shot) too much. So despite me loving color and horizontals, this one breaks the rules. I met this little sweetheart when she was 3 months old. Her parents were kind enough to give me a shot, came over to my home, let me try a lot of fun poses (all new to me) and on top of my nerves and excitement, I actually really enjoyed being around them. Easy going, very NICE family and I’m always thrilled when I get those emails from “mom” in attempts to schedule something!
So this time was different, though. It took a while for “H” to warm up to me. The older kiddos get, the more they pay attention to strangers… and I was a stranger with a camera and that isn’t always easy. So… after a few high fives with dad, we finally found something to splash in a bit (saw the “do not splash” signs AFTERWARDS) and she warmed up quite a bit. Always so impressed with technology. The ipad had music and fun to make her feel a bit at ease and having Grandma there helped so much too. A grandma to chase and giggle with is always good and then we get to take some pictures with her too–love that.
And it ended up with a nice sunset and some beautiful light at the end and it always makes me happy to end on a good note–and we did. Stuck it out and it all worked out!
Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. It has been an emotional rollercoaster for me. I’m so lucky to be surrounded by such loving, happy people. Keep watching… I’m behind on posts and there are a lot of good ones coming!
