Happy Tuesday, all! I’m editing all morning and probably into the late night today! 2 beautiful weddings to blog and today starts that! Katherine is my step cousin! When she asked me to shoot her wedding, I was so excited. We started talking about the engagement session and that really made things for me. New place = change of scenery for me and I love that. Wasn’t sure about IL because I’m not overly familiar with the area, but I googled the church and saw that it was beautiful, so I was excited. And after the engagement session at a race track, I figured Phil would have SOMETHING fun happening on the big day.
I really enjoyed my time with these 2 and their friends. The entire wedding party was very well behaved. You never know what will walk out of a limo/bus. With a long drive to location, I was nervous. But they were wonderful! And the reception site was very nice–I was impressed. Even with the heat, the breeze made everything work out.
I’m a bit new to off camera flash, but I threw one in there. I had my sister-in-law Lia along for help this time and I can’t thank you enough, Lia, for joining me. Things move so much quicker when I have help and your images turned out (to my surprise–if i’m being honest) pretty amazing! You can see below some of Lia’s shots. During the ceremony I stayed downstairs and Lia moved between upstairs and down and we were both shooting at the same time, the same shot, but the angle from above is pretty neat too! It was a long drive, but nice to have the company! I’m lucky in the in-law department—best SIL ever 🙂
Wishing you all a wonderful week! I have a busy one. I’m just hoping to keep up with the blog. Hang in there!
